“Change happens through movement and movement heals.” Joseph Pilates
All classes currently take place online (via Zoom). If you are new to Pilates, you will need to have a 1:1 session before joining group classes – please see below for further information.
For online classes, please book and pay online: select “WIMBORNE OSTEOPATHIC CLINIC”, then “GROUP SESSIONS”
“With the introduction of ‘lockdown’, Rona suggested an online version of her class. I was slightly sceptical at first, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The online class lasts 45 minutes and is excellent, I certainly get as much out of it as I did with a ‘normal’ class.”
Ann, Corfe Mullen
Many people are worried about exercising in case it makes their pain worse or have been put off by large classes where the teacher is unable to offer individual guidance.
Are you looking for a way to get back into exercise?
Do you want to get stronger for your favourite sport?
Would you like to be more flexible?
Are you fed up with your recurring injury stopping you from doing the things you enjoy?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Pilates could help you.
“I have been attending Rona’s sessions regularly in Wimborne but because of the present predicament we are all in, I now log on for her online session. I’ve really been enjoying them and feel I’ve had a good workout in my living room. They improve my mobility, aches and pain and I feel uplifted mentally. I should do it daily but don’t have the willpower to do it by myself!” Belinda, Wimborne
Online classes (via Zoom) take place at the following times. All classes are 45 minutes’ duration.
Mondays: 8.30am and 7pm
The comfort of your own home!
Your confirmation email has full details of what you will need and how to set up your space, but we’ve kept it as simple as possible.
Online classes cost £7 on a pay as you go basis. Please pay online at the time of booking.
If you would prefer to block book a block of classes at a discount (£6 per class), please Rona know during a class and we can invoice you.
Unfortunately, missed classes cannot be refunded but we endeavour to offer swaps or make up sessions wherever possible when absence is notified in advance. Alternatively, the class can be recorded for you.
Prior to joining
All participants are required to attend a 30 minute 1:1 session to run through the basics and discuss any relevant medical history. I have found that patients get on much better in a class if they have had a 1:1. The cost of this is £30.
Currently, these take place online – please email firstname.lastname@example.org
You will also need to complete a registration form including details of your medical history, even if you have been to Wimborne Osteopathic Clinic as a patient. This will be emailed to you..
It will be useful for you to have a mat or a towel to lie on and a small towel or cushion to use as a head support.
No additional equipment will be used for online classes.
What to wear
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise (but also suitable for me to see if your abdominal muscles are working, so not too baggy please). We recommend you wear grip socks to avoid slipping.
What patients say:
“I’m stronger and more supple than I was before”
“If you don’t think you’ve got it right, Rona will spot you and come and correct you”
“I don’t have day to day pain now.”
