“With the introduction of ‘lockdown’, Rona suggested an online version of her class. I was slightly sceptical at first, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The online class lasts 45 minutes and is excellent, I certainly get as much out of it as I did with a ‘normal’ class.”
Ann, Corfe Mullen
Many people are worried about exercising in case it makes their pain worse or have been put off by large classes where the teacher is unable to offer individual guidance.

Are you looking for a way to get back into exercise?

Do you want to get stronger for your favourite sport?

Would you like to be more flexible?

Are you fed up with your recurring injury stopping you from doing the things you enjoy?
Rona Jones, registered osteopath, teaches small group Pilates classes in Wimborne. Rona trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and is a registered instructor. The exercises have been modified so that they are suitable for all patients, including those who are recovering from injury. If you are uncertain whether Pilates is suitable for you, please call us on 01202 888439 for a chat.
Please note: Booking is essential.
To offer you the best experience, Pilates class numbers are restricted, and we are currently operating a waiting list. We therefore ask you to please contact the clinic to book an initial consultation where we will discuss your requirements and notify you of availability of classes suitable for you.
Please note that if you book without first confirming availability, your booking may be cancelled, and your payment refunded minus a £10 admin fee.

Location
Wimborne Community Centre, 41 – 44 King Street, Wimborne Minster, Wimborne, BH21 1EA. The car park entrance is opposite the model town and can be accessed on foot behind the Minster. For a map, please click here.
Parking: £1 for 1 hour, £1.50 for 2 hours. Free after 6pm.
Cost
Classes are organised in blocks of approximately 6 weeks around school terms and cost £12 each, payable in advance for a half term block. Normally, there are no classes in school holidays but there will be some ‘ad hoc’ classes in August.
Unfortunately, missed classes cannot be refunded but I endeavour to offer swaps or make up sessions wherever possible when absence is notified in advance.
Prior to joining
All participants are required to attend a 30 minute 1:1 session to run through the basics and discuss any relevant medical history. I have found that patients get on much better in a class if they have had a 1:1. The cost of this is £30.
Please note that the 1:1 sessions take place at the clinic, not the CLaRC.
You also need to complete a registration form including details of your medical history, even if you have been to Wimborne Osteopathic Clinic as a patient. This will be emailed to you for you to complete and submit online.
Equipment
All equipment is provided but please bring a small towel to use as additional support for certain exercises.
What to wear
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise (but also suitable for me to see if your abdominal muscles are working, so not too baggy please). We recommend you wear grip socks to avoid slipping.
1:1 Sessions
Individual sessions are cost £45 and take place at the clinic. Please call the clinic 01202 888439 to book 1:1 sessions.
